We seem to have overcome another important step. Was it easy? No. Were there squats? Yes, and not only metaphorical.
It is impossible to meet inner demons without letting them go free. Trauma cannot survive without pain, but it can become a source of strength and growth. Remembering the pain and the impact it had on us before turns into resilience to further challenges.
And this stress resistance is what we all need, and especially for the military, veterans and their families. There is a stormy life around and it is easier to live, taking all the small swirls and big storms as they are. This is what our psychological work – is dedicated to learning to stand firm, even when the earth is shaking.
This stage was about transformation. When everyone already understands and feels each other, sincerity becomes a natural state, at least for the weekend. And even when you are tired, you still choose honesty, that's when the real work begins. Emotions come out just as sincerely and it is not always a walk with unicorns.
But we make the choice not to hide or run away, but to let emotions burn out so that they no longer poison life.Individual work gives tools, group work allows you to feel that you are not a mistake, but a part of the community. When there are people around who are experiencing something similar, you stop feeling lonely. The pressure is distributed and you can withstand more.
We continue to listen to the body, which retains all tension. Movement, TRE (Trembling) and bodily practices allow you to let off steam without words. Allow yourself to be clumsy, laugh and just move.
And Tango lessons as another challenge to trust (and the feet of our coaches). The challenge was, of course, fearlessly accepted, but not everyone managed to get out beautifully in the photo. Work continues!
Life hack: if you close your eyes, being a woman in a dance is much easier.
Let's go back to the factory settings: we are already in the evening in the sauna, salt room and pool. Our personal quiet resort. We give rest to the brain, nervous system and worked legs.
PS. Important information! The «Veterans' Hut» program is free for veterans and their families. It really works and we see it every day.

There is still a lot of work to be done, but every step taken together confirms that we are stronger than we seem.
The «Veterans' Hut» project is implemented with the support of the State Employment Service and in partnership with the Center for Veteran's Development, Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University.
