Friends of «Veterans’ Hut» gave us an electric scooter

Now our veterans, project participants, will become more mobile, will be able to move freely around the territory of the sanatorium, go for walks in the park, etc. For this, we are sincerely grateful to the five Ukrainians from the German city of Bremerhafe, who are also part of the team of the volunteer charity Nordteamforua. Here are these wonderful people: Oksana Domashenko, Denis Domashenko, Liliya Ostapenko, Valentina Bogak and Antonina Yastremska. They responded very quickly to our request and collected more than 41 thousand hryvnias with the necessary 35 thousand hryvnias for the purchase of a scooter. Volunteers plan to transfer the rest to other needs of the VH.
The first user of the scooter was Oleksiy Kovalevskyi, a participant in the first «wave» socio-educational project «Veterans’ Hut». Oleksiy was wounded in the spine, and was immobilized for several months. Despite this, he does not lag behind his friends in the project and participates in all – events, even in the training held in the forest. Well, when it becomes very difficult, the guys will carry it on their hands. But now we have such a wonderful thing.In the video, you see the device being tested in action. By the way, it immediately turned out that the space for people with disabilities should be adjusted on the spot. After all, today, creating a barrier-free environment – is one of the main tasks of society.
