The pre-premiere screening of the documentary «The Way of the Veteran»!

It was first seen by the participants of the forum «Evidence-based psychological practices in the Ukrainian present» — event, which brought together scientists, practitioners and representatives of public organizations to exchange knowledge and experience in the field of psychological support.
The forum was held on September 25–26 at the Institute of Postgraduate Education of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University The program of the event included:- reports on AI-based virtual psychological assistants;- digital technology workshops for memory development and the organisation of support groups;- discussion of the role of the psychologist in working with children in difficult situations;- Gestalt approach practices and chronic pain management methods;- discussions about conscious parenthood, mediation and psychological support for military families;- unique hippotherapy workshop «Spirit warrior» for veterans;
The round table «Evidence-based psychological practices in working with veterans and their family members became especially valuable for us. Participant of «Veteran's House» and the hero of the film Oleksiy Kovalevsky talked about the principle of «yours to his» — when people with the same experience help each other:«Our Ukrainian experience of supporting veterans is unique, because it is about warmth and trust. In the world they say «is equal to », and in our country — «is different to your», and it sounds closer to the heart. ««Veterans’ Hut» has become an example of such an approach — space where will always be understood and supported. Because the main strength of our people is — in the warmth that we share with each other»

This forum has become an important platform for presenting our work with veterans and their families. After all, «Veterans’ Hut» — is not only a warm space for mutual support, but also an example of a modern approach to psychological help.
Oleksandr Tkachenko, the chief psychologist of our project, emphasized: «The project «Veterans’ Hut» has successfully passed testing at a high scientific and practical level. This means that our model of support for veterans and their families corresponds to modern scientific approaches and has a real practical result. It is important for us that the experience we accumulate every day in the community has received such recognition among professionals».
