In times of war, we all feel stress, anxiety, emotional exhaustion. Therefore, we started the course «Self-help+» — a practical program for everyone who wants to better cope with everyday challenges.
We sincerely thank Svitlana Kaminska, candidate of psychological sciences, psychologist «of the Center for Mental Health of Veterans and Their Families» of the Institute of Psychiatry of KNU named after. Taras Shevchenko, who held the first class for the participants of «Veterans’ Hut». It was very interesting and informative!
The course «Self-help+» was created by World Health Organization and adapted by Ukrainian psychologists. It is based on modern methods of psychological self-support and cognitive-behavioral therapy.
What's in the program: – simple stabilization and calming techniques;– working with thoughts and emotions;– grounding and breathing exercises;– practice «tree of life» to find internal supports;– how to support yourself and loved ones in stressful situations.
This course is — for everyone who lives in war: for civilians, veterans, volunteers, military families, displaced persons. It will help reduce the level of tension, restore the feeling of control and self-care.Participants note that after several meetings it is easier to breathe — literally and figuratively.
