The story of one veteran

28-year-old Vyacheslav from Kharkiv — is a combat medic. By education — pastry chef. Before the full-scale war, he worked as a chef in his hometown.
After the Russian invasion in 2022, he did not hesitate at all and went to the front. He saved his comrades in the Luhansk and Bakhmut directions. It is admitted that it was necessary to treat not only bodies, but also souls.
«In war, it is important for fighters to have someone around to help overcome panic and fear. He often provided psychological assistance to boys, especially beginners. I know what it's like to — when «arrives» for the first time.»
After being severely wounded and having his leg amputated, Vyacheslav found the strength to recover and start a new life. Today he works as a programmer and has a new dream — to become a psychologist to help his brothers overcome PTSD.
«Most guys don't admit to suffering from post-traumatic syndrome. They say that everything is fine with them. But I know it's not. And I want to help them.»
For people like Vyacheslav, our project «Veterans’ Hut» was created so that veterans' dreams of a new path, a new profession and a new life become reality.
